The Teddy Bear project
Three participating schools, Jättestenskolan, Sweden, Collège Aristide Bruant, France and De Wijze Eik, Belgium get hold of a teddy bear (or any other stuffed animal), name him/her and take some portrait photographs in the local school environment. Each school writes a short presentation of the teddy on the project blog and some of the photos are added. As soon as possible, the teddy is sent to the next school in the list of schools and it’s time for his/her first assignment.
In the end of each month the teddy is sent along to the next in line and on the eTwinning platform the participating classes and you teachers can decide on the future topics. March - could be the month in which we present our schools through the eyes of the visiting teddy. April – the subjects are the pupils´ interests, their sparetime and for example what music they like. May - could be all about our home towns.
The main objectives of the project:
- To promote cultural awareness and knowledge across borders.
- Practice the English language in a meaningful situation.
- Prepare the students for a digital and global community.
- Have fun and hopefully create friendships between all participants.
